Scroll Down To See The Photos
In September 2019, Olympus asked me if I wanted to test the yet-to-be-released OM-D E-M5 Mark III camera. With less than 2 weeks notice I figured I needed a project that could test not only the camera but also myself.
A project that would show what the camera was capable of and, more importantly, what the camera stands for Freedom and Exploration.
These days, more often than not I get the feeling that the purpose and soul of photography get completely overseen.
I thought I’d set out to create something that went beyond the numbers, stats, and pixel peeping all the keyboard warriors on the Internet always have so much to say about, but instead, go out and just create something.
So, I decided to challenge myself to capture 24 photos in 24h hours that captured the Essence of Belgium, my home country. And then turn around an exhibition of the 24 photos on the following day.
This is the film of this project.
Fabulous work chris. Just a delight and inspiration to watch
Thanks Brian!
What a remarkable way to showcase the power of photography, your creative vision, and the capabilities of this new tool. To be able to create this quality of work under this pressure with a camera that you’ve never used before speaks volumes. Well done to you, well done to Olympus.
Thank You David!
Epic! I was looking for one of those pixel peeping reviews of the em5 iii, and found Your video instead. And it was so much better than a review. Inspiring, interesting and entertaining. And also a great country.
So keep up the good work:0)
Hi Stefan,
Thanks so much for the kind feedback. So happy to hear that you enjoyed this video more than the pixel peeping reviews… plenty of those out there too anyway.
