Through their unique process of printing photographs directly on wood, they create high quality images that utilize the natural wood grain of each piece of Baltic Birch Wood. The inks used are not only extremely durable, but they are also very transparent the lighter the ink the more wood grain you’ll be able to see. Have a look at the image to the right and you’ll be able to see the lighter colors bring out the grain, while the darker colors block the grain completely. You’re also able to see the entire tint of the image change slightly, and this is because we’re printing onto a natural piece of wood.
Baltic birch wood is used, which is produced in the good ol’ US of A. Baltic birch is a great wood, it has a beautiful grain which shows through each and every wood print that’s printed. The wood is harvested for construction purposes only, which means that the natural forest is not harmed in the manufacturing of the wood panels. The wood is constructed by laminating layers of birch veneer together, making our product 3/4″ thick. The side of the wood is then beveled at a 45 degree angle which gives the piece a nice dimension. Classic Wood Prints have also designed a hanging system which makes it simple and easy to install.
